Saudi Arabia
has become one of the dream destinations for many Indonesian citizens (WNI), considering that Indonesia is a country with a large population

This country of two holy lands is often a spiritual tourism destination because it has a long history, unique natural panorama and authentic Arab culture.For pilgrims who have just performed the Umrah or Hajj pilgrimage, exploring Saudi can be an unforgettable experience.
For Indonesian citizens who want to visit the birthplace of Islam, there are three types of visas that can be used, as explained in the Saudi Handbook from Visit Saudi.However, before leaving, there are several important provisions that need to be considered.

First, tourists who want to enter Saudi Arabia must be at least 18 years old if traveling alone.Tourists under 18 years old can only enter with an adult companion.
Second, tourists are required to have a passport that is still valid for at least six months after the date of arrival in Saudi.The exception only applies to United States citizens who are allowed to enter as long as their passport is still valid.
Regarding visas, here are three types of Saudi visas for those of you who are interested in traveling to this country:
1. Visitor visa
Official visit visas are issued to Indonesian citizens who wish to enter and visit Saudi Arabia with a maximum stay of 90 days.
The visit visa fee for Indonesian citizens is 750 Saudi Arabian riyals or around IDR 3.3 million, including registration fees.This visa can be used for one visit or multiple visits, depending on the policy of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
For multiple visit visas, the validity period is one year.
2. eVisa and Visa on Arrival (VoA)
Saudi Arabia also provides convenience through eVisa and Visa on Arrival (VoA).
eVisa or Electronic Visa can be applied for online before departure, while VoA is issued when visitors arrive at the airport or port in Saudi.
The eVisa fee for Indonesian citizens is 480 Saudi Arabian riyals or around IDR 2.1 million, including registration fees and health insurance.This visa is valid for one year and can be used for multiple entries, with a maximum stay of 90 days.
However, eVisa can only be applied for by Indonesian citizens who have a valid United Kingdom (UK), United States (USA) or Schengen visa and have been used at least once.
3. Transit or Stopover Visa
Transit visas are given to visitors who only stop by in Saudi Arabia before continuing their journey to their final destination country.
With this visa, Indonesian citizens can stay in Saudi Arabia for up to four days.Usually, transit visas are used by pilgrims who want to carry out a short Umrah, visit the Nabawi Mosque, or go on a short trip while in transit.
If using Saudia Airlines, you can apply for a transit visa directly through the airline’s official website when purchasing a flight ticket with a final destination outside Saudi Arabia.
