The Ministry of Health Response Chairperson of IDAI can no longer serve BPJS patients at RSCM

) Responding to the statement of the Chairperson of the Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI) Piprim Basarah Yanuarso who claimed to no longer be able to handle pediatric patients BPJS Health users at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (
RSCM
) Jakarta.
Head of the Ministry of Health Communication and Information Bureau Aji Muhawarman revealed that Piprim has been officially transferred since April 2025. The Chairperson of IDAI is now serving, including serving BPJS Health users, at Fatmawati Hospital in Jakarta.
“As a State Civil Apparatus (ASN), a doctor must be ready to be assigned anywhere,” Aji said, quoted from

“This mutation is carried out in accordance with applicable regulations and considering the needs of institutions and the development of health services for the community,” he continued.
The Ministry of Health also emphasized that patients who had been treated by Piprim were still able to access similar services at Fatmawati Hospital.Financing for patients also remains diverse, such as Mandiri, Private Insurance, to National Health Insurance (JKN) or BPJS Health.
The same thing was expressed by the RSCM through an official statement.RSCM ensures that the mutation is a natural thing for ASN.
The hospital also emphasized the availability of medical and subspecialist personnel, especially for children’s cardiology, was maintained after Piprim was transferred to Fatmawati Hospital.
“The talent management process that takes place will not reduce the guarantee of service access to patients,” wrote the official RSCM statement, as reported by AFP.
“RSCM fully supports this mutation policy because basically aims to expand the reach of health services for the community. Thus, children’s heart services are not only available at RSCM, but also at Fatmawati Hospital,” continued the RSCM.
Piprim announced that he could no longer handle BPJS pediatric patients at RSCM.The doctor and Chair of Idai admitted that the situation occurred on the direction of the RSCM and Ministry of Health Directors.
However, he can still serve pediatric patients in RSCM through the Private Poly Kencana.Piprim also said that this change made patients now have to bear the cost of around Rp. 4 million because it was not borne by the BPJS.
“To all the parents of my patient, children with innate or obtained heart disease, apologize profusely. Starting today I can no longer serve the children of the ladies and gentlemen who use BPJS at PJT or at Kiara RSCM,” he said via Instagram, Friday (8/22).
“So to be able to seek treatment and be examined by Echo (Echocardiography), now you have to pay around Rp4 million because there is not covered by BPJS,” continued Piprim.
