Qatar Airways is now inspiring women in the world of aviation.He was able to obtain an Integrated Airline Transport Pilot License with Airbus A320 MCC qualifications.
Before taking to the air as a female pilot, this woman from Plumtree, Zimbabwe needed to conquer a life journey full of ups and downs.This story began when Precious, who was eight years old at that time, visited Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport in Bulawayo.
In the middle of her school trip, Precious’s gaze was fixed when she saw a pilot dressed in a neat uniform.But a moment later, a question arose in his mind when he realized he didn’t see any female pilots.

Little Precious then asked her teacher, can a girl pilot a plane?”You can definitely be a pilot,” the teacher answered.
This short sentence haunted the little girl’s mind.Since that day she decided she wanted to become a female pilot, even though this profession is dominated by men.His determination is firm, even though he knows there are many obstacles he must face.
Entering her teenage years, Precious needs to live life as a young mother at the age of 17.This also made him bury his plans to go to college.
In the midst of her tough days as a mother, Precious lost the only figure who guided her in taking care of her children.Precious’ mother died not long after Precious had a daughter.
Then, with a heavy heart, Precious left Zimbabwe to move to South Africa.The decision to entrust her child to someone she trusted was not easy, with a broken heart Precious still had to move forward.
“I often ask myself, what kind of parents abandon their children? Many women experience this, forced to leave their children to meet their needs,” said Precious, as reported

In South Africa, she worked as a waitress, at times modeling part-time.Long story short, life gave her a good opportunity, bringing Precious to move to work in the Doha Hamad International Airport area.
He remembered again the figure of little Precious with her previous dream.This time, Precious is determined to continue the path forward to push her dreams.”Hope without action will not fulfill dreams,” he said.
Three months later, Precious officially joined Qatar Airways (QR) as a cabin crew member.Precious already admired the professionalism of the airline’s crew members the first time she flew to Dubai as a passenger.
Every day he passed while knitting dreams.It doesn’t feel like so many years have passed.One day, he again saw the cabin crew who had inspired him to join Qatar Airways.
“Every time I walk down the aisle, I know I probably inspired someone,” Precious said.
During his five years flying as cabin crew, every time he visited the cockpit his ambition always reignited.Moreover, the captain and first officer continued to provide full support for him.
One day, Precious gets a promotion to senior cabin crew.This offer came along with the pilot training he had always been waiting for.In the end, Precious decided to choose pilot training.
In 2017, Precious enrolled at 43 Air School in Port Alfred, South Africa.He completed the full Integrated ATPL program and the Airbus A320 Multi-Crew Cooperation course.
Currently, Precious is building hours (total flight duration) on the Cessna 172, while preparing for her flight instructor rating, as reported by

Apart from that, Precious also spends time as a mentor for prospective pilots on social media, some of whose students are less fortunate.He hopes that sponsors can fund training participants who have lost their jobs or are unable to pay training costs.
Precious’ story proves that determination can change the heavy turbulence of life into flying higher into the clear sky.
