Tourism is one of the important and main sectors in Spain.However, the increasing number of tourists visiting Spain has on the other hand invited negative responses from local residents in a number of tourist destinations.
For example, protests took place in some of the most popular places such as Barcelona, the southern coastal city of Malaga, and the Balearic and Canary Islands.
