, the surname Lin used to drink two glasses of sweet Oolong tea while working in a food stall every day.He also often holds urine for a long time.
Lin then experienced kidney stones and realized the presence of blood in the urine. However, the problem was ignored after he took medicine for three days.
One month later, he was rushed to the Hospital Emergency Unit (UGD) after experiencing a high fever for a long time. The results of the examination diagnosis of lin have a kidney infection that triggers sepsis.
Huang Pin-Jui, a doctor at the Urology Department of Dajia Lee Hospital, where Lin was treated, said that the examination showed two kidney stones measuring 1 mm in the right kidney. This makes the right kidney swell twice the size of the left kidney.
“He was immediately treated at the hospital for treatment because the inflammation jumped up to 27 mg/dl, which means 90 times the normal level,” Pin-jui said.
As a result of the disease, Lin also had to undergo intensive treatment at the hospital. His blood pressure dropped suddenly and made him lose consciousness.
After undergoing treatment, inflammation of Lin’s body subsided. However, Lin’s liver is damaged and shows signs of jaundice.
Lin is diagnosed with acute pyelonephritis, or a type of inflammation caused by bacterial infections of the kidneys.
According to Huang, the doctors suspect, the infection was caused by the habit of Lin holding back urination for a long time and frequently consuming sweet drinks instead of water. The condition is getting worse because Lin ignores the initial symptoms that have actually appeared.
Before being sick, Lin himself always carries two sweet olong tea bottles that will be his thirst when thirsty for 12 hours of work.He claimed not to drink much water.
Even on holidays, Lin still consumes sweet drinks. If totaled, then Lin can drink about 60 glasses of sweet Oolong tea every month.
“I never thought that not drinking water could make me sick and even endanger my life,” Lin said.
From this incident, Lin promised to drink more water and leave the habit of drinking sweet tea.
