Two Wizz Air passengers were arrested in
Airport
Cologne Bonn, Germany, on Friday (28/11) evening local time, after daring to break through the runway to catch their flight to Romania.
The two men, aged 28 and 47, were forced to deal with police after they were seen running towards the Wizz Air Airbus A321 plane which was moving towards the runway at around 21.33 local time.
According to German police, the B70 gate had been closed because boarding time had run out.This late passenger allegedly destroyed the emergency alarm to force open the door which was connected directly to the tarmac area (apron/runway).

Video footage circulating on social media shows the two men running fast towards the plane while waving their hands, signaling the pilot to stop.This reckless attempt was finally stopped by an airport employee who intercepted and arrested them.
A Cologne police spokesperson confirmed that criminal charges of trespassing had been filed against the two men, and violations of the Air Safety Act were still being investigated.
A spokesperson for Cologne/Bonn Airport explained that the two passengers had made “unauthorized access” through the emergency exit.
“Both were arrested by airport staff and handed over to the Federal Police. Cologne/Bonn Airport has initiated legal proceedings. Aviation security at the airport has never been compromised, and flight operations have not been affected,” he said, as reported by

Despite this incident, flight W43262 bound for Bucharest, Romania, arrived safely at its destination, despite experiencing a departure delay of around 12 minutes.
As additional information, Wizz Air will reportedly soon offer business class tickets.This premium service, called “Wizz Class”, will include more elbow room and leg room, as well as priority boarding facilities, hand luggage and overhead storage space.
