) RI is again taking firm action against illegal cosmetics that contain dangerous ingredients.This time, there are 23 products
cosmetics
has been secured by BPOM.
This finding is the result of intensified supervision carried out by BPOM RI during the July-September 2025 period.

“BPOM has taken firm action against the discovery of cosmetics which have been proven to contain dangerous and/or prohibited ingredients. BPOM has revoked the product distribution permit and temporarily suspended activities,” said Head of BPOM RI Taruna Ikrar in his statement, quoted on his official website, Monday (3/11).
As a result, 23 cosmetic products were found to contain prohibited and dangerous ingredients such as mercury, retinoic acid, hydroquinone, red dyes K3 and K10, and acid orange 7 dye.
As many as 15 of them are cosmetics which are produced based on production contracts.Two products are local cosmetics, five products are imported cosmetics, and one product is cosmetics without a distribution permit.
Dangerous chemicals found in products can also have negative impacts on health, from mild to severe.
Mercury, for example, can trigger black spots on the skin, allergic reactions, skin irritation, headaches, diarrhea, vomiting, and even kidney damage.
Meanwhile, retinoic acid can cause dry skin, a burning sensation, and changes in the shape or function of fetal organs in pregnant women.
Hydroquinone can cause hyperpigmentation, black spots, and changes in corneal color.Meanwhile, prohibited dyes can be carcinogenic, triggering cancer, damaging the liver and damaging the nervous system and brain.
The following is a list of 23 cosmetics found by BPOM that contain dangerous ingredients:

3. Dinda Skincare Lotion Booster Brightening — contains mercury
4. Dubai Ria Body Lotion — contains mercury
5. ELBYCI Night Cream Platinum — contains hydroquinone
6. F&A Skin Glow Day Cream Exclusive — contains mercury
7. HK Hadijah Karima Glow All In One Whitening Cream — contains mercury
8. Meglow Skincare Cream Spots — contains mercury
9. Pinkflash 3 Pan Eyeshadow PF-E23 BR02 — contains acid orange 7 dye
10. Pinkflash 3 Pan Eyeshadow PF-E23 BR04 — contains K10 red dye
11. R&D Glow Premium Day Cream — contains mercury
12. R&D Glow Premium Face Toner — contains retinoic acid and hydroquinone
13. R&D Glow Premium Night Cream — contains mercury
14. Salsa Matte Lipsticks Scarlet 09 — contains K3 red dye
15. Salsa Rhapsody Amber Pro Pallete — contains K3 and K10 red dyes
16. Salsa Rhapsody Classic Pro Palette — contains K3 and K10 red colorants
