In that assessment, the beauty of Komodo Island was described as one of the “greatest wildlife theaters on earth.”Within Komodo National Park, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage, tourists can find a unique mix of iconic pink sand beaches, dramatic savanna hills, coral gardens that are home to manta rays, and the world’s last population of wild Komodo dragons.
In 2026, Komodo National Park will celebrate its 45th anniversary.The celebration will be marked by the launch of a new conservation program and stringent visitor management measures, designed to protect ancient animals and coral reefs vulnerable to climate change.
