Residents of West Java and Jakarta will soon have a new option for traveling.

(KA) Jaka Lalana luxury tourism is ready to be inaugurated and will make its first trip on Sunday, December 14 2025, serving the Jakarta-Bogor-Sukabumi-Cianjur route.
This project is the result of collaboration between the West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov Jabar) and PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI).The name “Jaka Lalana” itself is taken from Sundanese which means “wanderer” or “man who likes to explore,” reflecting the spirit of travel.
The Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi or KDM, confirmed this launch, which is expected to be a link for leisure travel between tourist cities in West Java.

Travel Schedule and Route
On the first trip, Jaka Lalana will take around 4 hours 45 minutes from Gambir Station to Cianjur Station, and vice versa.

Cianjur – Gambir 16.00 WIB (from Cianjur Station) 20.35 WIB
This train will stop at 17 stations, including important stations in Jabodetabek such as Manggarai, Cawang, Pasar Minggu, Depok, Citayam, Bogor and Bogor Paledang.Then, the train will enter the southern route, stopping at Cicurug, Cibadak, Cisaat, Sukabumi, Lampegan, and arriving in Cianjur.
Luxurious Facilities with a Classic Feel
Jaka Lalana is designed with a luxurious concept, resembling ancient noble carriages but still has a modern touch.
– Exterior: The train body has a glossy appearance with a dominant color combination of emerald green (bottle green), cream and gold.
– Interior: The entire interior is dominated by emerald green and warm brown.The chairs are arranged in two seats on the left and right sides, covered in green leather.
– Accent: The walls use brown wood with a touch of gold, enhanced by the light of classic style lamps and matching curtains on each window.
Although official fares have not been released by PT KAI, the estimated Jaka Lalana ticket price ranges from IDR 100 thousand to IDR 300 thousand, adjusted based on class and facilities.
With efficient schedules and luxurious facilities, Jaka Lalana is claimed to be the affordable mode of tourist transportation of choice for traveling between cities in West Java.
