will tighten immigration controls by prohibiting airlines from transporting travelers who are deemed high risk or do not meet entry requirements into the country.
Singapore’s strict immigration policy will come into effect on January 30, so travelers are advised to better prepare themselves.

Under the new rules, ICA will receive initial information about travelers from airlines.Based on this data, ICA will screen travelers bound for Singapore and decide whether they can be allowed to fly.

– Tourists do not have a valid visa or travel documents with a validity period of less than six months.
Airlines are prohibited from allowing flagged travelers to board the plane.If they violate this rule, airline operators can be subject to a fine of up to 10 thousand Singapore dollars or around IDR 128 million.
Meanwhile, pilots and airline employees who violate this immigration policy can be sentenced to prison for up to six months.
For travelers who are rejected but still wish to enter Singapore, they are required to apply for entry approval first via the ICA Feedback Channel, before arranging a new flight.
