regained world recognition.The Chairman of Diabetes Connection Care at Eka Hospital received the Augusto D. Litonjua Pillars in Diabetes Education Award Lecture from the Philippine Center for Diabetes Education Foundation, Inc.
This prestigious award was given to Sidartawan for his contribution to increasing knowledge and empowering diabetes patients, as well as his role in strengthening the capacity of professional health workers in Asia.

The award presentation was carried out at the National Assembly of Diabetes Educators (NADE) which was held on November 11 2025 at Makati Diamond Residences, Makati City, Philippines.
Apart from receiving the award, Sidartawan was also appointed as the main speaker on the topic “Diabetes in Asians: Unique Aspects Impacting Diagnosis and Care”.
The scientific lecture was welcomed enthusiastically by participants from various countries.
“This award is the result of collaboration and hard work of the entire team in improving the quality of education and diabetes management, especially in Asia. I feel honored and hope that this achievement can be an inspiration for medical personnel and the Indonesian people,” said Sidartawan in his speech.
This achievement is not only a source of personal pride, but also makes Eka Hospital and Indonesia proud on the international stage, especially in the field of medicine and management of chronic diseases such as diabetes.
Since 2020, Eka Hospital has developed Diabetes Connection Care, the first integrated diabetes service center in Indonesia.Under Sidartawan’s leadership, this program combines various scientific disciplines to treat patients comprehensively, from the promotive, preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, to rehabilitative stages.
This service is now available in all Eka Hospital branches and has become a national reference for diabetes management and diabetic foot care.Collaboration between endocrinologists, vascular surgeons and other medical personnel makes the treatment approach more comprehensive and based on scientific evidence.
Diabetes Connection Care also adopts international clinical standards with a patient data collection system from various cities to assess service quality and improve treatment outcomes.
With this approach, Eka Hospital, through Sidartawan’s leadership, continues to strengthen its commitment to reducing the risk of diabetes complications and improving the quality of life of patients, a real contribution that is now recognized internationally.
