“This feature aims to increase the security level of passports while preventing counterfeiting,” wrote the Directorate General of Immigration in his statement.
For people who still have the old version of their passport, there is no need to worry.Passports with previous designs will continue to be issued until stocks run out and remain valid until their expiration date.Replacement of old passports is not required before their validity period expires.
This policy is implemented to ensure comfort and certainty of service for all passport applicants, both at home and abroad.
Apart from being an official travel document, the Indonesian passport also maintains its aesthetic excellence and national values.
Each passport page contains an illustration of the cultural richness and natural beauty of the archipelago which is a form of Indonesian cultural diplomacy to the international world.
