There are two Indonesian restaurants that won the title
The New Destination Champion Award
2026 and recognized by La Liste to be
Gastronomy Ambassadors
for Indonesia.
The first restaurant comes from Rumari – Raffles Bali (voted as the best example of Bali) and is represented by Chef Gaetan Biesuz.Rumari this year also debuted as
The World’s Top 1000 Best Restaurants
for 2026. Second, namely Esa Restaurant (chosen as the best example from Jakarta) and represented by Chef Aditya Muskita.

A series of events that also celebrate
La Liste 10th Anniversary
This took place on 23 – 24 November 2025. Also attended were a number of important figures, including the prime minister and ministers who served in the previous period, international gastronomic figures, and chefs from all over the world.
It is hoped that this award from La Liste can bring Indonesia increasingly competitive to the top of world gastronomy and open collaboration with the global gastronomic ecosystem.
“This achievement strengthens our commitment to making gastronomy an important pillar of Indonesian tourism and an instrument of cultural diplomacy at the global level. We will continue to introduce Indonesian flavors to the international stage and ensure that the archipelago’s gastronomic riches are increasingly known, appreciated and loved by the world,” added Widiyanti.
