Dermatologist Idrianti Idrus explained that mercury in cosmetics works like a liquid metal which can penetrate the layers of the skin.

He emphasized that even though only a small amount of harmful substances are absorbed each day, the accumulation can burden the internal organs.Substances that enter through the skin will circulate back into the blood and must be filtered by the kidneys.
“Well, when the burden on our kidneys is too heavy, it will experience work failure,” he explained.
According to him, there have been case reports showing a link between the use of illegal bleach and kidney disease which in advanced stages can lead to kidney failure.
Likewise, dermatology specialist Sri Ellyani said that illegal skincare also causes short-term and permanent skin damage.The instant white effect produced is not a sign of healthy skin, but rather the result of over-exfoliation which damages the skin’s protective layer.
Skin can become more sensitive, irritated, reddish, and even experience recurring acne.
“So indeed we have had many case reports, that several kidney diseases, ranging to kidney failure, were caused by the use of bleach,” emphasized Dr Sri.
Experts agree that chasing instant white skin with illegal concoction products is simply not worth the long-term health risks that lurk.Healthy skin is never instant and never comes from harmful ingredients.
