Quyen was refused entry by the Royal Hostel in Hanoi on November 9, because he arrived late for check-in, even though he had already paid in full for his stay from November 7 to 10, 2025.

Larger hotel groups typically offer stronger consumer protections.For example, Accor Group policy requires bookings that have been paid in full to be honored even if the guest arrives late.Accor Properties commits to holding reservations until noon (12:00 p.m.) the following day.
If the hotel cannot provide the booked room, Accor considers this a breach of contract.The property must provide an alternative room of equivalent or higher standard, and cover any additional costs.
Hotel Guests Must Notify Late Arrivals
In general, guests are guaranteed a room if they book in advance and receive official confirmation, either via email, text, or invoice.
