Sleep specialist Giusepse Aragona said that having a mirror in front of the bed can make you feel like you are being watched.That feeling even persists even when the lights are off.
“As soon as the lights are turned off, you tend to feel as if you are looking at your reflection in the mirror, which triggers feelings of fear and inability to sleep well,” said Aragona, reported

“If you are a person who is timid, has trouble sleeping, or wakes up easily at night, then you need to avoid it [placing the mirror and mattress opposite each other],” advised Aragona.
Another sleep expert, Ryan Thaker, also added that feng shui believes that mirrors will multiply and reflect the energy in the room.This disturbs the inner peace of the person who is about to go to sleep.
Instead of opposite the bed, you are advised to place a mirror opposite the window to reflect your view.
“It [the mirror across from the window] provides more positive energy,” says Thaker.
