The world is getting ready to welcome the pallet
color
new ones that will dominate in 2026.

The Color Institute officially named Cloud Dancer, a soft and soothing white hue, as the 2026 Color of the Year.
This color was chosen to represent the collective human need for calm in a world made increasingly noisy by technology and the fast-paced rhythm of life.
Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, describes Cloud Dancer as a billowy white, like a cloud balanced with warm-cool undertones.This color, he says, brings “a sense of stillness, reflection, and a desire for new beginnings.”

, Eiseman believes that many people are now looking for breathing space, and color can be a psychological representation of that hope.
Since 1999, Pantone has formulated its annual colors based on social, cultural, political and fashion dynamics.Laurie Pressman, Vice President of Pantone, emphasized that color names play an important role.
“As soon as they hear the name, people immediately imagine something,” he said.Cloud Dancer was chosen because it gives the impression of clarity without coldness, clarity without the impression of being cold or sterile.
In the world of fashion, signs of this trend are already visible.Diana Ross’s monumental white dress at the Met Gala which was decorated with soft feathers, Emma Stone with a white Louis Vuitton bubble hem at the Venice Film Festival, and Rosalia who repeatedly appeared with a floating white silhouette show that this soft color is indeed on the rise.
Meanwhile, in the interior, Cloud Dancer gives a clean but still warm impression.This color pairs well with natural materials such as wood and stone, reflecting society’s trend towards simple and calming designs.
However, Cloud Dancer is not the only color that is predicted to shine in 2026. Henry Napitupulu, Director of Planning & Design at Paramount Land at the Launch of the Latest Logo for Paramount Land Gading Serpong, said that calm colors will still dominate the design landscape next year, especially in commercial buildings.
“White and black remain strong because they symbolize luxury. Steady grays and light browns also continue to be sought after,” he said in the statement.
For lovers of soft colors, good news: pastels are here to stay.”People are now increasingly aware of aesthetics, they don’t like anything too flashy. Pastels are ‘safe’ and calming,” said Henry.
In interior styles, Japandi, Scandinavian and simple tropical designs remain favorites.”People like simple things. Social media has made people accustomed to a clean and not excessive appearance,” he said.
Interestingly, Henry considers that a “natural” feel for 2026 does not mean decoration full of large stone elements or an extreme rustic look.
“That’s not our direction. It’s more about a design that is sustainable, tropical, shady and utilizes local wealth,” he explained.
With the presence of Cloud Dancer as a symbol of new beginnings, as well as the dominance of calm colors such as pastel, light brown, gray and dark blue, 2026 is predicted to be a year where the color palette will not only spoil the eyes, but also soothe the soul.
