The Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM RI) recalled 13 products
cosmetics
man from circulation after being found to contain claims that were not in accordance with the rules, had vulgar nuances, and were misleading to the public.
These products are promoted as if they are able to improve the function of men’s vital organs, from improving sperm quality, overcoming impotence, maintaining stamina during sexual intercourse, to enlarging cavernous vessels.
In fact, by definition, cosmetics cannot be claimed to be able to provide therapeutic effects or improve the body’s physiological functions.

BPOM emphasized that the use of claims with medical nuances and violating decency norms is contrary to BPOM Regulation Number 18 of 2024 concerning Cosmetic Marking, Promotion and Advertising.
“There are still business actors who use the digital space irresponsibly by marketing products aggressively and vulgarly. This is a serious violation that can endanger and harm society,” said Head of BPOM RI Taruna Ikrar, Wednesday (10/12), citing
