The TRAP Special Committee of the Bali DPRD has temporarily stopped the glass lift project at Kelingking Beach at the end of October 2025. This project is considered to not have complete permits and is feared to damage the authenticity of the cliff landscape which is the main attraction of the area.
This step was welcomed by many parties who believe that the natural beauty of Kelingking Beach is better maintained without additional large infrastructure that has the potential to change the panorama.
