The station was named Gadigal in honor of the Aboriginal people, who were the traditional custodians of the land.

The station also doubles as a public art gallery, where each entrance displays monumental ceramic artwork inspired by train tunnels.
Meanwhile, in second place for the most beautiful stations in the world is Baiyun Station in Guangzhou, China.The station is much more than just a hub for the 24 high-speed train lines, six subway routes and three bus terminals it serves.

Natural light floods the platform located 28 meters underground.Instead of the usual steel and concrete, the spacious atrium is completely lined with warm wood.More than 100 sculptures are also installed along the height of the atrium, combining transit and art in true Parisian style.
